There was a time when we trusted our teachers to teach us as well as protect us. Although they were not our real parents, our parents did hand off the torch of discipline and responsibility to them. As kids, most of us respected and feared our teachers, but most importantly they were often times second tier role models (our parents being first).
I am always revolted when I read news stories about teachers molesting children or teens. It’s normal for kids to have crushes on teachers, but when teachers engage students, it’s shamefully inappropriate.
I came across a site called Bad Bad Teacher Here there are shameful (or shameless) teachers who have engaged in sexual relationships with their students. It is really a sad day when we have to protect our kids from predator teachers.
